Training Challenge.
Strength training for skiers and snowboarders is often ignored or misunderstood.
Too often I've seen skiers and riders do the wrong types of training (insert bodybuilding, bootcamps, and CrossFit here) or do nothing at all to prep for the winter season. This often leads to unnecessary pain, injury, or mid season burnout.
The thing is, it doesn't have to be like that, which is exactly why I've created the Shred Prep Challenge.
I want to give you a taste of what it's like to train both effectively and efficiently for the winter season.
Shred Prep training sessions will blend strength, power, balance, and mobility to help you build a SOLID foundation so you can rip hard & reduce risk of pain holding you back this winter.

Shred Prep Challenge Overview
Monday: Strength + Landing Mechanics
Day 1 kicks off with strength training to build the power you need for the season and landing mechanics to teach your body how to absorb impact, stay stable, and protect your knees when you ski or ride.
Tuesday: Mobility
Day 2 is all about mobility for your back, hips, and knees so you can move better and stay pain-free on snow. When your joints have the range they need, you ski and ride stronger without the nagging aches holding you back.
Wednesday: Power + Core Stability
Day 3 is focused on power and core stability — building explosive strength while keeping your body stable and controlled. This combo helps you stay balanced, react faster, and charge hard with more confidence.
Thursday: Mobility + Edge Control
Day 4 doubles down on mobility to keep your body moving smoothly and adds edge control drills to sharpen your balance and precision. More control means carving cleaner turns and holding your line when the snow gets unpredictable.
Friday: Knee Durability
Day 5 is all about knee durability — building strength and stability around your knees so they can handle hard landings, quick cuts, and long days on snow. Stronger knees mean more confidence to push your limits without worrying about pain holding you back.

I'm Liz, the founder of Mountain Edge Performance and I'll be your coach for the Shred Prep Challenge!
The Shred Prep Challenge was born out of my passion for teaching skiers and snowboarders how to train effectively for the winter season. No B.S. involved.
Too often I see people being held back from pain, injury, or the classic "old age" syndrome. However, if we prepare our bodies for the demands of skiing/riding, we can stop feeling held back and continue pushing limits as we age.
Over the course of 5 days you will train for the demands of skiing & snowboarding, connect with other bad-ass shredders, and take away concepts that may change the way you look at training entirely.
